You likely almost missed the never-before-seen image.

Yesterday marked Prince Harry's 35th birthday—something his wife, Meghan Markle, clearly couldn't wait to celebrate. Though we don't know exactly how the royal duo (and their young son, Archie!) spent the Duke of Sussex's big day, we do know that Markle did all she could to make it special—this included sharing a poignant post on Instagram to honor her husband. The grid-style image was actually composed of nine small ones, depicting chronological moments from Prince Harry's life. The montage begins with the duke as a baby, snuggled in his mother Princess Diana's arms; it ends with a photo of his own son, who's likely around the same age as his father was in that first snapshot.

This final photo, however, is special for another reason—one that goes beyond the royal's birthday. The black-and-white image is actually a brand-new photo from Archie's christening, which took place in July; it shows Prince Harry crouching by his wife, as she holds a three-month-old Archie in her lap. Though we've already seen a few images from the special event—which took place at Windsor Castle—this candid is arguably the sweetest of the bunch.

Markle's message is just as meaningful as the collection of images. "Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day," she wrote. "You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you. Happiest birthday!”

In addition to the new photo, we also have an update on how the youngest royal is doing, thanks to Prince Harry himself, reports Hello!. During a visit to a local high school, the Duke of Sussex was asked by a student, "Prince Harry, how is everything going with Archie?" He responded, "He is really well, thanks, and he's getting so big."
