It looks like a baby bump is the fashion world's best new accessory-at least, if Serena Williams' Vanity Fair cover has anything to say about it. The tennis star and mom-to-be is gracing the August issue of the magazine with her gorgeous belly on full display, and opened up about the major milestones in her life this year: marriage and motherhood.

It turns out the tennis pro first met now-fiancé Alexis Ohanian when the Reddit co-founder happened to sit at a table near Williams at a hotel in Rome. Although Williams wasn't originally very pleased with the arrangement-according to ET she even tried joking with Ohanian that she'd seen a rat in an effort to get him to move!-she ultimately invited him to join her party. It turned out to be a good decision!

Ohanian later proposed on a spontaneous trip back to the exact same location, popping the question at the table where the couple first met. But now that they have a baby on the way, Williams shares that "it just doesn't seem real." "I don't know why. Am I having a baby?" she said, adding that the whole process is going by so fast. "I don't know what to do with a baby. I have nothing…I've done absolutely nothing for the baby room."

Fully decorated nursery or not, we're sure Williams is going to make a fantastic parent, especially after her fiancé's sweet words about his bride to be. "She has the biggest heart," Ohanian shared after the Met Gala. "She gives 100% of herself to everything she does: as a friend, as a lover, and soon, as a mother."
