Pets bring so much love and happiness to their peoples' lives that it hardly seems fair to complain about one little downside—their hair. If you've ever looked down at your black pants in the middle of a meeting only to realize they're not so much black as a speckled mix of brown or white on a black background, or you've given up on keeping a hair-free sofa, well, then you understand. Because even if you're a VIP at the groomer, if your family includes pets, stray hairs on clothing, furniture, and just about everything else you own is a fact of life.

Shedding is part of how cats naturally keep their fur looking its best. Depending on the type of cat and the season, many cat owners find themselves vacuuming every day or two to keep up with pet hair. Somehow, they manage to distribute as much hair throughout every nook and cranny of your home—plus vehicle, plus clothes—as they seem to have on their entire body. And then they get up the next day and do it again. Dogs aren't guilt-free in this situation, either, and even pups with short hair shed.

That doesn't mean you have to accept it. Yes, it's a never-ending battle. Your pets can't help that they shed, after all, but there are things we, as owners, can do to control the amount of rouge hairs in our homes. At least if we're armed with the right tools, that is. Luckily, there's no shortage of clever solutions out there to help you maintain peace in the battle of the pet hair. Here, we rounded up a few of our favorite products to keep you keep your home and wardrobe both as hair-free as possible.
