You don't need to take a trip halfway across the globe to experience a taste of Italy. Whole Foods Market is bringing authentic Italian cuisine to consumers in select U.S. cities. On February 20th, the supermarket chain will be hosting free pop-up dinners in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and Atlanta for one night only. Guests will enjoy an extravagant six-course, family-style meal alongside wine and cheese experts, Italian cheesemakers, and prosciutto suppliers.

While the full menu is currently under wraps, Whole Foods says guests can expect to dine on classic Italian dishes like cacio e pepe and osso bucco served over creamy rosemary polenta. Perhaps the highlight of the evening will be a Parmigiano-Reggiano wheel-cracking demonstration (with samples, of course).

"The menu for our "A Little Italy" dinners is reflective of the warm, inviting vibe of Italian kitchens. It's multi-course, to capture the authenticity of a meal in Italy, with the main portion of dinner served family-style so guests can both get to know their lively dinner companions and savor the authentic ingredients in the delicious meal," said Molly Siegler, Senior Culinary Program Manager for Whole Foods Market.

Customers who aren't located in one of the four cities where the dinner will be held can still live "la vita bella." In addition to the exclusive pop-up dinner, Whole Foods will also be offering storewide promotions on specialty ingredients. Beginning on February 12th, customers can receive 30% off Mitica Parmigiano Reggiano, 15% off Bertagni fresh pasta, and a special price on made-in-house Italian sausage for Amazon Prime members. Guests can book a reservation for the free pop-up dinner in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and Atlanta online.
