Apple cider is taken to new heights in this boozy version that uses apple brandy to play up the autumnal flavors. Finish the drink off with an orange twist—the peel releases oils that give a welcome burst of citrusy flavor.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh apple cider

  • 4 ounces (½ cup) apple brandy, preferably Applejack

  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) dry vermouth

  • A few dashes bitters

  • Orange twists, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine apple cider with apple brandy, dry vermouth, and bitters. Divide between 2 ice-filled glasses, and garnish each with an orange twist.
