The Manhattan takes on a Continental note with a dash of creme de cassis, a black-currant liqueur.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces bourbon

  • ½ ounce creme de cassis

  • ½ ounce dry vermouth

  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • Lemon slice

Directions

  1. Combine bourbon, creme de cassis, vermouth, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, and shake. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon slice.
