    These onions look delicious. I often blanch my yellow onions for a few seconds, immerse them in vinegar with some beet juice and put them in the fridge. They make a great garnish, add to salads or even put briefly under the broiler and added to other veg or eaten as a side. They come out a beautiful pink color and are delicious.
