  • Place endive in a large bowl. Add apples, pears, and herbs; set salad aside.

  • In the jar of a blender, combine blue cheese, creme fraiche, olive oil, vinegar, and 6 tablespoons water; blend until smooth, about 16 seconds.

  • Pour about three-quarters of the blue cheese mixture over salad; toss to coat. Divide salad evenly between 4 plates and drizzle a little more dressing and olive oil over the salads; sprinkle with herbs and serve immediately.

This is a VERY good salad! I'm thinking next time I will add grilled chicken to make it a main dish. I did not use the creme fraiche,I used sour cream instead. Also I am an huge blue cheese fan so I would add extra blue cheese next time as well, maybe sprinkle it n the top?

I watched this recipe on TV. I added bacon pieces. Instead of creme fraiche I used half and half. Also, I did not have a pear. It was lovely and I am sure that the original recipe is fantastic.
