Martha's friend Jane Heller makes her distinctive Easter dinner of Smithfield ham baked with pineapple rings and cherries, sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping, and her famous cherry Jell-O mold. Her special ham recipe comes from her Aunt Naomi.
I've made this ham about 6 times and it's great. I've also made it up to the last step, cooled it and then brought to friends houses and finished it there without any problem. One important note. Smithfield no longer calls this Easy Karv Ham, it's now "Hardwood Smoked Half Ham".
