    Easy, simple recipe! So I used white potatoes, added another 14oz. of chicken broth and added a bit of pink salt and chreole (i use this in everything almost!), and it turned out amazing! Yummy!!! I probably used more than the recommended amount of kale, too. I do not have a good blennder, so I skipped that step. My kids loved the soup. I will definitely make this hearty, delicious soup again!

    I just made this soup about an hour ago and it was grand. Blending half of the soup adds a creamy, starchy flavor with a textured consistency, and the smoked sausage makes it hearty. What a great way to serve kale. Simple, very easy to make, hard to mess up, and quite filling. Mahalo (Hawaiian for thank you).

    Made it tonight...too spicy for 8 year old...but used kale which I had growing (and had no idea what it was...supposed to be Savoy cabbage but never formed a head). Even hubby loved it!

    This is a great recipe! I used turkey keilbasa, and added white beans and mushrooms ( sauteed with the onions and garlic) , fantastic! One of my favorites now.

    Love this recipe! Easy and delicious plus my 7, 9, and 11 year olds love it too! Their home from school today with a cold and found this recipe doing a search kale soup. I made a vegetarian version using 32 ounces of vegetable broth in place of the chicken and 4 cloves of garlic, and added thyme, oregano, more red pepper flakes, carrots, a dash of sea salt...yum, yum, and YUM! Will do it next time with celery.

    I tried this recipe and it turned out very good. I left out the potatoes and the result was what I was looking for, something light with healthy benefits for myself. I will make it again.

    I'm kindof obsessed with this recipe. I like to add carrots & celery to mine, as well as a bay leaf and black pepper. Great for winter and cold season - very healthy and hearty! I'm in college, so I like to make a batch every so often and have leftovers for the week. Yum!
