Simple Limeade


For spiked lemonade, pour an ounce of vodka over ice into each glass before topping with limeade.


  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 ½ cups fresh lime juice, plus lime wedges, for garnish (14 to 16 limes total)


  1. Heat sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring, until sugar has dissolved, 5 to 6 minutes.

  2. Stir together lime juice and 5 cups water in a large pitcher; stir in sugar syrup. Refrigerate until cold (or up 2 days in an airtight container). Garnish each serving with a lime wedge.
