Light Cream-Cheese Icing


This creamy frosting is made with just two ingredients and can be whipped up in minutes. Spread it on our Frosted Chocolate-Buttermilk Cupcakes or between cookies.


  • 3 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese

  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar


  1. With an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. (To make without a mixer, sift sugar before stirring into cream cheese.)

Cook's Notes

Use icing immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container up to 1 week; stir before using.
