A hearty oat mixture is baked into these treats; they derive most of their moisture and sweetness from bananas and applesauce.

I have made these muffins twice. The first time I used the recipe exactly as stated and they were delicious. Not too sweet, but moist and good. The second time I used up some All Bran Granola instead of the muesli. It turned out just as well and I would do it again with other granolas.

I like these for a diet high in fiber. I always make wheat flower part of any recipe, and the same for this recipe. Also, it is not exceedingly sweet like bakery muffins.
