Sauteed Kale


This garlicky sautéed kale makes for a delicious, and nutritious, side dish.


  • 1 bunch kale, stems removed, leaves torn into bite-size pieces

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper


  1. Set a steamer basket over a pan of simmering water. Add kale, and steam until tender, about 10 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 3 minutes. Add steamed kale, and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Cover, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
