OMG! The recipe is just great! I tried fantastic hummus in Lebanon and this one tastes exactly the same. There is a feeling that I'll be making another batch very soon :)

This recipe is delicious!! I decided to try it as my husband LOVES hummus and we spend a fortune at the wholesale clubs every week just on hummus! It was so simple to make and delicious! My husband loves this much more than the store bought, too, and doesn't want to purchase hummus anymore! It makes quite a bit as well! My mother-in-law, sometimes picky, asked that I bring it to her holiday party! Make this and you'll love it! I'm going to try it next with roasted red pepper as suggested! Yumm!!

I just made a batch and took half out and then added a roasted red pepper to the remaining still in the processor. The red pepper, I believe is my favorite, and it's definitely my husband's favorite. I am eating it with fresh carrot sticks, YUM!

This was delicious! It may be basic but it turned out great. Next time I may try adding some roast peppers or some cumin, but this was a great plain Hummus. By the way, I bought my Tahini at the grocery store. It was with the peanut butters.

We take Hummus very seriouslly in my house! This recipe is a good "base" recipe. Tahini is essentiall. If you prefer roasted garlic instead of fresh garlic use that, If you cant use cayennne pepper, sub in paprika, a nice variation is to add some roasted red peppers (drained from a jar is fine) I make mine in a bowl using an immersion blenderfor a better whip.Always store in a tight lidded container with a little olive oil on top to keep it from drying out. Stir well prior to using.

Tahini can be hard to find. I use a little sesame oil.

Tahini is essential to Hummus. It's sesame seed paste--not so weird. It's used in other middle eastern dishes. You could also probably incorporate it into asian recipes or even use it as a spread on sandwiches.

What else can Tahini be used for? Can it be omitted in this recipe because it sounds kind of weird?

Very tasty. Ate it on whole grain bread, pitas, and raw veggies. The texture was a little grainy, but it's one of the only hummus recipes without olive oil.
