This classic shrimp dish with garlic and lemon juice is so easy to make. Serve with crusty bread for sopping up a flavorful butter sauce.

Instructions Checklist

  • Sprinkle with oil and garlic, and season generously with salt and pepper; toss to coat. Arrange shrimp in a single layer.

  • Broil until opaque throughout, 3 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle with lemon juice and parsley; toss to combine. Serve immediately; garnish with lemon wedges.

Cook's Notes

A broiler heats from the top, so you need very little oil to prevent food from sticking to the cooking surface.

It is a really good healthy version. Use capors instead of salt and I agree a little white wine or white vermouth in the bottom of the grilling pan works well.

Oregano, fresh or dried, is also key ingredient along with a little wine. However this version looks light and healthy.

Where's the wine in this recipe? I thought Scampi always had white wine in the sauce which made it so delicious.

You need to put the calories, fat, etc. on these recipes. Otherwise I have to figure them all out and I do not have the time to do so. Thank you.
