A Housewarming Cocktail Party
Easy Party Decor
Kevin Sharkey christened his newly renovated space alongside friends and colleagues with a glittering cocktail party. There was food, fun, and an extra side of glamour.
Kevin and friends toast his new apartment -- filled with silver and white balloons for the occasion.
Guests take seats (that includes the shearling throw) in the living room to enjoy champagne, conversation, and incredible views.
Kevin's beloved collection of Hermes boxes is cleverly stored in the shower and adds a bold kick of color to the bathroom.
Inventive Ice Bucket
What makes a better over-the-top ice bucket than a brand-new bathtub? Kevin's tub holds bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne while he and Alexis Stewart enjoy the party.
Cool Cookie Cake
In lieu of a traditional dessert tray, Kevin opted for a whimsical stacked Oreo tower -- complete with sparkler candles.
Kevin set up a bar in the dining room -- showcasing his sterling silver barware and his new table tennis paddles -- monogrammed, of course.
Kevin -- framed in red lipstick -- samples the champagne as the party gets started.
Deviled Eggs with a Twist
Dirty deviled eggs (spiked with olives) are served on Martha Stewart Collection Whiteware cake stands.
Nick Anderson and guest take the party out to Kevin's balcony which offers incredible views of the Hudson River and New Jersey skyline.
A spirited game of table tennis begins on Kevin's dining room table.
Party guest Ian returns a winning shot.
The spirited games drew a crowd of pretty spectators.
Guest Thomas Joseph playing another round with a monogrammed paddle.
A guest spoons some caviar on a toast point. The silver bowl is from Kevin's collection of antique pieces.
While the dress is black tie, the vibe is casual and fun. Case in point: drinks and conversation on the kitchen countertops.
Alexis Stewart prepares to serve up another winning shot as Thomas Joseph enjoys the game.
Making full use of the dining room's reflective wall, Kevin and his guest kept tabs on the game with a makeshift (and chic) scoreboard that was easily wiped clean.
Keeping score is easy with a silver tray of Chanel lipsticks close at hand.
The spirited matches went on late into the evening.
Statuesque Party Guest
Kevin's Guan Yin Buddha figure was a calm presence before the party started.
Kevin and Alexis
The host and Martha's daughter take a relaxing break in the library.
Alexis Stewart samples the party's libation.
In the Library
Kevin's guests peruse some of the library's art and design books.
The dress code was fun and festive -- as evidenced by this pair of Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
The Game Continues
Kevin's guest Jared LaFrenais comes up with the winning shot.
