Start Your Day Off Right with Our Best Yogurt, Granola, and Cereal Recipes
For a healthy but tasty wake-up call, try our grain- and calcium-rich recipes, including homemade granola, yogurt drizzled with honey and walnuts, oatmeal, and more.
When you need a quick but delicious breakfast that will provide you with the fuel you need to get through your day, turn to these yogurt, granola, and cereal recipes. In some cases, we've paired them together, layering granola with macerated fruit and yogurt for a DIY parfait, but many of these recipes can be enjoyed on their own—pour yourself a bowl of granola with milk or grab a made-from-scratch breakfast bar when you're in a rush. Whichever route you choose, these delicious breakfasts will help you start your day off just right.
Choose your own adventure with our Whipped Yogurt with Pineapple and Dried Fruit, pictured here. Top store-bought low-fat yogurt with any dried fruit or nuts that you please. We used a colorful combination of chopped fresh pineapple, dried strawberries and papaya, and shredded coconut for a tropical bite that is not only totally eye-catching and delicious, but also offers an antioxidant-rich breakfast with plenty of texture. If you're in the mood for something different, try apricots and pistachios—it's a winning combination that we love, too.
We also have yogurt, granola, and cereal recipes that kids will love. First, try our breakfast version of a popsicle. It's a fun, healthy breakfast that's so tasty, your little ones will think they're eating dessert or a snack. Plus, these pops are easy to make. All you need to do is blend together strained yogurt with mixed berries and freeze the mixture in the form of popsicles. Afterward, drizzle one side of each one with honey, which not only adds sweetness but also acts as the glue for when you roll them in granola.
Of course, you can buy store-bought yogurt, granola, and cereal, but we think it's so much more fun (and healthy!) when you make it yourself. Follow our recipe for homemade yogurt made in an Instant Pot or test our numerous combinations of oats, nuts, and dried fruit for a crunchy bowl of granola sans additives and preservatives. These delicious breakfast treats are certainly a reason to get out of bed in the morning and they will keep you going all day long.
