Ribbon Hanger

All it takes to make a beautiful ribbon hanger is a wide ribbon, wire, thumbtacks, terrycloth, and a nail.

This colorful tether is an illusion -- a picture wire actually supports the weight.

  • Wood-framed item

  • Wire

  • Ribbon

  • Thumbtacks

  • Terrycloth

  • Decorative picture nail

  1. Hang a wood-framed item with wire, then choose the attachment point for your ribbon.

  2. Measure from there to a corner of the frame. Cut ribbon to twice that length plus 6 to 8 inches. Place frame facedown on terrycloth, and secure ribbon with thumbtacks. Rehang, and add a decorative picture nail.
