  • Pumpkin

  • Carving knife

  • Empty 10-ounce soup can

  • Two socket kits

  • Flasher button

  • Two small appliance bulbs (one bulb must fit inside can)

  1. Carve a screwy face onto a pumpkin (draw your own, or use our winking pumpkin template).

  2. Trace outline of socket housing onto can. Drill about 10 holes around circle; use wire cutters to punch out tab. Place flasher between bulb and socket; push bulb and top part of socket through opening. Socket should fit snugly.

  3. Firmly press can's open rim into pumpkin flesh around winking eye (using twisting motion). The other bulb and socket light pumpkin's interior. Cut exit holes in pumpkin's back for the two cords and plugs.
