Rustic Centerpiece
Make decorative use of fresh vegetables and herbs with this lovely, seasonal display. Complete the look with dark bentwood chairs, flax linen napkins, and a canvas drop-cloth runner, as seen on "The Martha Stewart Show."

Tools and Materials

  • Rectangular trays
  • Burlap
  • Seasonal vegetables, such as kale, cabbage, eggplant, purple artichoke, radishes, and grapes
  • Fresh herbs, such as rosemary, thyme, sage, purple basil, oregano, and rosemary
  • Twine

Rustic Centerpiece How-To
1. Wrap trays in burlap, and place lengthwise at center of table.

2. Arrange vegetables on trays.

3. Bundle herbs together with twine and add herb bundles to accent the vegetable display.

Modern Centerpiece
Create a contemporary, abundant statement with a tabletop variety of green plants. Pair this arrangement with white bentwood chairs, oatmeal linen cloth, and burlap silverware bags for a fresh look, as seen on "The Martha Stewart Show."

  • Indoor plants, such as ferns and ivy

Modern Centerpiece How-To
1. Remove plants from pots.

2. Wrap plant roots in burlap and secure with twine.

3. Arrange plants in pails. Add planted pails to table to make a cluster of four.
