Meaty, cheesy, deep-dish lasagna is an Italian-American classic that everyone loves. We've made this crowd-pleasing dinner even easier with a shopping list and schedule.

The Menu
Tomato-Sausage Lasagna
Garlic Bread
Tossed Green Salad
Mocha Tartufo

The Shopping List
Pick up these ingredients for each recipe, plus pantry items if you don't already have them on hand.

Tomato Sausage Lasagna
-1 large onion
-1 pound sweet Italian sausage
-6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 1 1/2 pounds)
-3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces)
-2 cans (28 ounces each) whole peeled tomatoes in puree
-12 dried lasagna noodles (about 10 ounces)

Garlic Bread
-1 baguette (24 inches long)
-1 head garlic
-1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter

Tossed Green Salad
-2 heads romaine lettuce
-2 cucumbers
-1 medium red onion
-1 1/2 cups pitted Kalamata olives

Mocha Tartuffo
-3 pints coffee ice cream
-54 chocolate-covered espresso beans (about 2 ounces)
-1 package (9 ounces) chocolate wafer cookies

-Coarse salt and ground pepper
-Olive oil
-Red-wine vinegar
-Dried Italian seasoning
-Red-pepper flakes

The Schedule
We've designed this menu so that almost everything can be prepared in advance and then quickly assembled or reheated before serving. You'll be relaxed, and your kitchen will be tidy.

Up to 3 Days Ahead
-Make Mocha Tartufo; cover and freeze.

Up to 2 1/2 Hours Ahead
-Make salad (don't season or add dressing yet); cover and refrigerate.
-Prepare and bake lasagna.

20 Minutes Ahead
-Make and bake Garlic Bread.

Just Before Serving
-Dress and toss salad.
