Gilded Walnut Salt and Pepper Cellars

These unique spice cellars add an elegant touch to the holiday table.


  • Walnuts

  • Chestnut knife


  • Drill with grinding bit

  • Red and gold paint

  • Paintbrush


  1. Use a chestnut knife to split walnut shells into two equal halves.

  2. Take nut out of the shell and clean inside of the shell using a drill with a grinding bit.

  3. Paint shell's inside red.

  4. Paint the trim of the shell with gold paint; let dry.
