Pumpkin Cachepots

Overflowing with bright blossoms, these easy, chubby-cheeked planters are sure to elicit grins.

The plants remain in their plastic containers inside the pumpkins, so no repotting is required.


  • Pumpkins

  • Hole cutter or drill

  • Potted autumnal flowers (such as chrysanthemums)


  1. Cut a hole in the pumpkins' tops, and scoop out the flesh. Using a hole cutter or a drill, cut openings in the bottom for drainage.

  2. Fill pumpkins with potted flowers and display in a sunny spot.
