Glitter Berry Wreath

Source: Martha Stewart Living, Volume 145 December 2005

materials

  • 24-inch plastic berry branches (3 total)

  • Silver spray paint

  • Medium paint brush

  • Craft glue

  • Powder glitter (we mixed pink and silver)

  • Glass-shard glitter

  • Floral wire

  • Evergreen garland

  • Satin bow

  • Flat thumbtack and looped monofilament

steps

  1. Cover berry branches with spray paint; let dry. Working on 5-inch sections at a time, use the paintbrush to coat with glue, and then sprinkle with spoonfuls of powder glitter. Let dry. Repeat, using glass-shard glitter; let dry.

  2. With floral wire, attach each branch to wreath form, overlapping them. Attach the garland by tying it, at intervals, to the back of form, sliding wire between clusters of berries. Tie the bow and affix it to wreath's top center with wire (opposite). Hang on door using the thumbtack and monofilament.
