Simple Pesto

Fried Oysters
3 heaping tablespoons

This simple pesto recipe is from the October 2008 issue of Body+Soul.


  • 1 cup packed fresh basil

  • 1 clove garlic

  • Pinch of coarse salt

  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Place basil, garlic, salt, and pine nuts in the bowl of a food processor. With the machine running, gradually add oil; process until smooth.
