The Aperol Spritz is the best known version, it calls for Aperol, prosecco, soda water, and a slice of orange, but there are many other variations. For our easy, lower ABV take we switch it up using Campari or Aperol plus tonic water for bubbles and a slice of lemon for garnish. One sip and you're instantly transported to the Italian Riveria. Ingredients 1 ½ ounces amaro, such as Aperol or Campari 4 ounces tonic water 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, plus a lemon slice for garnish Directions Fill a glass with ice. Pour in amaro and top with tonic water, lemon juice, and a lemon slice. Stir and serve immediately. Variations Some may find Campari too bitter and Aperol too sweet—if that's you, use equal parts of each in your drink. For a more herbal taste, use Liquore delle Sirene Aperitivo Americano Rosso ($35, argaux.com) in place of Campari or Aperol. Print
