How to do it

Part 1

Step 1

Download and print the template; cut out puzzle pieces with scissors. (Optional: If using the blank puzzle template, customize the picture before cutting out the pieces.)

Step 2

Hide pieces of the puzzle around the house, referring to the list of clues as a guide. For younger kids, hide them all in one room of the house for them to find.

Step 3

Hide the final "prize" where the puzzle clue shows (Hint: it's in the fridge).

Step 4

Read the clues out loud and let the kids run around the house searching for each piece of the puzzle.

Step 5

Once kids have all the puzzle pieces, have them work together to solve the puzzle and find out where the prize—snack, treat, or surprise activity—is hidden.
