It’s called a “Spectacular,” so you know it’s gotta be good.

Cake is fun. Parades are fun.

So it follows that cakes inspired by parades are the most fun.

We'll all get a chance to test out this hypothesis when the Macy's Thanksgiving Cake Spectacular premieres this Sunday, November 18th at 8pm on Food Network. Our own Martha Stewart will help four cake artists create edible tributes to the balloons and floats from the beloved Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She'll even take them on a behind-the-scenes inspiration tour to see the balloons before the parade.

Snoopy will be there. Santa, too. The Grinch is set to make an appearance, so steel yourself accordingly. Oh, and Tom Turkey-it is his holiday, after all.

There'll be plenty of frosting, many layers, and lots of drama as Cake Masters Buddy Valastro and Yolanda Gampp select the winner of the $25,000 grand prize. Just think of the baking supplies you could buy with that!

Be sure to stop by the Food Network's Instagram page, where Martha will share stories about how she celebrates Thanksgiving, including her most memorable cooking disaster. And feel free to share your own Thanksgiving triumphs (or trials) using the hashtag #ThanksgivingCakeSpectacular.

It's sure to be...spectacular!
