The Queen of the Galaxy
Enter the hostess herself: Bette Midler, founder of NYRP. For this year's festivities, she emulated a Queen of the Cosmos wearing a metallic silver mini-dress, jewel-encrusted tights and a sky-high hairdo of glittered floral picks and ornaments. As for her "Hocus Pocus" Halloween fame? She admitted having rewatched the film recently for the first time in 20 years: "So I watched it, and I loved it! I thought it was so funny!"

The Otherworldly One
As a past winner of the coveted Best Costume Award (it was a Mardi Gras "Carnival Queen" ensemble), Jon Recor knows a thing or two about handmade costumes. And this year, the long-time NYRP supporter certainly lived up to the hype with a headdress of silvery glittered picks, shimmery face powder, and a cinching chain mail corset.

The Men in Black
Michael Kors and his husband Lance LePere made a striking pair, smartly dressed in star-speckled suits and bug-eyed alien shades. With his fashion-forward thinking, Kors serves as judge of the costume contest and is continually amazed by the looks year after year. "What's the craziest thing?" he recalls. "I think, one year, a guy came as a disco ball and then he spun around the cocktail party."

The Beautiful Barbarella
Actress Jane Krakowski emulated one of her quoted, "favorites," Barbarella from the 1968 sci-fi flick of the same name. She landed onto the scene looking like a true outer-space adventurer: donning a domed space helmet, a matching silver mini-dress, and translucent booties.

Ziggy and The Cosmos
TV personality Frankie Grande (far right) says his head-to-toe celestial body paint was inspired by one simple thing: "the Cosmos." He was accompanied by two friends (and one of them made a very convincing Ziggy Stardust).

The Cosmo-Planet-ins
A punny group costume never fails to be a crowdpleaser. When asked, these ticket guests had one thing to say: "We're cosmo-planet-ins!" a play on the famous cocktail.

The Cosmic Couple
Jonathan and Natalie Stewart prove that two is better than one. Jonathan, running back for the New York Giants, added a few patches to his space suit (including the logo for his team). Natalie wore a gauzy, star-speckled skirt over her mini dress and accessorized with a dazzling clutch.

The Galactic Goddesses
Darcy Stacom, Vice President of NYRP and an honoree of this year's Hulaween gala, stopped to pose and flaunt her encrusted starburst hair piece, glittered black jumpsuit, and an epic blonde braid. Alongside her, she brought a friend in silver chainmail as her guest.
