Getting panicky about the end of summer? Just in time for the August blues, Martha and Snoop are swooping in with the perfect distraction: more “Potluck Dinner Party”! Starting tonight, two episodes will be aired back-to-back every Wednesday for the next six weeks. Only Martha, the consummate hostess, could pull off two dinner parties in a row without breaking a sweat.
First up is a star-studded cookout, with Martha and Snoop grilling up their best burgers for RuPaul (host of the Emmy award-winning “RuPaul's Drag Race”) and singer Faith Evans. Martha’s favorite recipe calls for organic, grass-fed beef patties and aged cheddar and Swiss cheeses amped up with fresh horseradish. It’s all piled onto buttered brioche buns, along with a Russian dressing-esque “special sauce,” crisp bacon, tomatoes and lettuce fresh from her farm, and tangy bread-and-butter pickles. Based on the way both RuPaul and Faith eye Martha’s burgers in the episode, Snoop’s got some major competition on his hands!
The second dinner party is all about greens. Yes, the kind Martha likes to toss in a salad, as well as the kind Snoop likes. After all that beef at the cookout, Martha will try to convince Snoop to go vegetarian for an episode, with help from actress Michelle Rodriguez and comedian Cedric the Entertainer. Meanwhile, Snoop will be baking up a batch of special “green” brownies for Martha, and he doesn’t mean green sprinkles! Will Martha partake? Will the guests? There’s only one way to find out—tune in tonight!
