Fresh plums are used to make a simple syrup in this summery take on the classic cocktail, as well as to garnish the finished drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Plum Simple Syrup

  • 1 ½ cups fresh lime juice, plus wedges and slices for serving

  • 12 ounces silver tequila, such as Patron

  • Kosher salt

  • Small plum wedges, preferably Santa Rosa, for serving

Directions

  1. Combine simple syrup, lime juice, and tequila in a small pitcher. Pour salt onto a small plate. Moisten the rims of small glasses with lime wedges. Dip glasses into salt, fill with ice, then add tequila mixture to each. Garnish with plum wedges and lime slices.
