Instructions

  1. Design and cut wall decal: Follow the project link to Design Space®. If you want to alter the project, click "Customize," then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes. Select "Mirror On," then click "Continue," or "Make It" from the project window.

  2. Cut a 12-by-12-inch piece of Adhesive Foil and place it grid-side down onto the StandardGrip mat. Follow these prompts to load the machine: Set SmartSet Dial to "Custom" and select "Adhesive Foil" under the "Vinyl" category. Load fine-point blade in Clamp B. Load mat and press the "Load / Unload" button.

  3. Press the flashing "Go" button, and cut! Unload the mat. Remove the foil from the cutting mat. Against a firm and protected surface, use the Weeder from the Basic Tool Set to remove the negative foil from the backer (the foil "positive" should remain on the backer). (Tip: Gently poke the material to lift or scrape away.)

  4. Assemble: Cut a piece of Transfer Tape large enough to cover the design area. Remove the backer from the tape.

  5. Apply Transfer Tape over the top of the Adhesive Foil. With the Scraper from the Basic Tool Set, burnish the design area so that the foil sticks to the tape.

  6. In order to transfer, start from the corner and gently pull back the grid backer from the tape, leaving the foil designs on the tape.

  7. Carefully apply the tape to your surface, and burnish the foil design.

  8. Gently peel off transfer tape.
