Ingredients 1 clove garlic, peeled 1 can (28 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes in juice 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil Kosher salt Directions Pulse garlic in a food processor until finely chopped. Add tomatoes and juices, oil, and 3/4 teaspoon salt; process to a smooth puree. Transfer to a large saucepan or straight-sided skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened and reduced slightly, about 20 minutes. Let cool completely before using or storing.
