  • 12-by-12-inch cardstock in white (1 sheet), coral (1 sheet), blue (1 sheet), light pink (3 sheets), and gold foil (1 sheet)

  • Adhesive foam dots

  • Hot glue gun and sticks

steps

  1. Design and cut card: Follow the project link to Design Space®. If you want to alter the project, click "Customize," then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes. Click "Continue" or "Make It."

  2. Place the first piece of cardstock onto the StandardGrip mat. Follow these prompts to load the machine: Set SmartSet Dial to "Cardstock." Load fine-point blade in Clamp B. Load mat and press the "Load / Unload" button.

  3. Press the flashing "Go" button, and cut! Unload the mat. Peel away the negative material, then if needed, use the spatula from the basic tool set to lift the individual pieces.

  4. Continue Step 3 by loading the cutting mat with each new sheet of cardstock, then into the machine as prompted. Load the scoring stylus in Clamp A when as prompted.

  5. Assemble card: Fold the card along the score line. On the front of the card, adhere the cake stand, then the cake tiers using foam dots. Assemble from the bottom of the card, going up.

  6. Roll the three pink strips into cylinders to make the candles and glue at the top of the cake.

  7. Adhere the gold foil "flames" above the candles.
