Towel Ring with Leather Strap

Equipped with a handy materials—a wooden ring, a strip of leather, and some hardware—you can keep a wall-mounted towel in reach at all times.

Introduction

This idea works well for kids too: Children's gym rings are a nimble solution for petite powder rooms. Loop a leather strap through and stagger them on the wall, so even the littlest hands can reach.

materials

  • Wooden rings (Pictured: X Training Equipment kids' wooden gymnastics rings, $10 for 2, xtrainingequipment.com)

  • Leather (Pictured: Tandy heavyweight natural cowhide leather strip, 1.5" by 50", $25, tandyleather.com)

  • Screw punch

  • Screw-in feet (Pictured: Screw-in feet​, 10mm, in Antique Brass, $1.25 each, pacifictrimming.com)

steps

  1. Punch holes through strip, ½ inch above ring, with a leather punch.

  2. Fasten with a screw foot.

  3. To hang, punch a hole in back strip and mount using a wall anchor and screw.
