10-st RC Sl 5 sts to cn and hold to back, k5, k5 from cn.

Knitted Measurements

Circumference: 29 inches / 73.5 centimeters

Length: 13 inches / 33 centimeters

Note: Work with 2 strands of yarn held together throughout.

Optional: Rather than knitting with 2 strands of the same color, try one strand each of different colors for a marled effect.

Step 1

With 2 strands of yarn held tog, cast on 77 sts. Join, taking care not to twist sts, and pm for beg of rnd.

Step 2

Rnd 1 Purl.

Step 3

Inc rnd 2 K31, p2, [k2, M1] 4 times, k3, p2, k31— 81 sts.

Step 4

Rnd 3 K31, p2, 10-st RC, k5, p2, k31.

Step 5

Rnds 4–6 K31, p2, k15, p2, k31.

Step 6

Rnd 7 K31, p2, k5, 10-st LC, p2, k31.

Step 7

Rnds 8–10 K31, p2, k15, p2, k31. Rep rnds 3–10 until piece measures 12½"/32cm from beg, end with a rnd 7.

Step 8

Next rnd K31, p2, [k1, k2tog] 4 times, k3, p2, k31—77 sts.

Step 9

Weave in ends. Block to measurements.
