Kisslock Clutch Wallet
This stylish carryall — customizable to your favorite printed fabric — can fit a phone, credit cards, and cash.
Cut out one 8.5-by-8.5-inch square of exterior fabric, one 8.5-by 8.5-inch square of lining fabric, one 8.5-by 8.5-inch square of fusible thermolam, one 5-by-8.5-inch rectangle of exterior fabric, and one 5-by-8.5-inch rectangle of craft fuse.
Iron the fusible thermolam to the wrong side of the large piece of exterior fabric (the fusible side of the thermolam with the glue pieces will be rough to the touch).
Fold the sides of the bonded exterior fabric over 1/4 inch and top stitch down.
Fold the lining piece in half to crease the lining down the middle. Fold the exterior fabric in half lengthwise, then place the two creases together and pin to secure in place.
Stitch down the middle seam to attach the two pieces. Fold in half the opposite direction and stitch across the crease only on the exterior fabric portion to create 4 credit card slots.
Place the right side of the exterior fabric to the right side of the lining and stitch around the two pieces with a 1/4-inch inseam leaving a 5-inch gap along one side.
Place your kisslock frame along the seam and use tailor's chalk to trace the curves in the frame; repeat with the other side. Then, stitch over the drawn line to create a perfect curve to fit the fabric into the wallet.
Trim off excess selvage and turn the wallet right sides out. Fold in the opening until flush and top stitch the opening closed.
Iron the wallet flat and then fold in half and top stitch up each side approximately 1 inch.
Add glue to the inside of the purse frame and then fit the fabric into the frame, ensuring that it is even all the way around. Let glue dry for 1 to 2 hours before use.
