Rutabaga Oven Fries

Batons of rutabaga become irresistibly nutty-sweet when roasted. A touch of smoked paprika adds depth and richness.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds rutabaga, peeled and cut into ½-inch strips

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Kosher salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Toss rutabaga with oil. Season with smoked paprika and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Divide between two baking sheets. Roast until tender, flipping once, about 40 minutes.
