The bubbly is flowing and spirits are light! Seri Kertzner and her team at Little Miss Party host a memorable bash that'll be the talk of 2018.

Meet the Hostess

Seri Kertzner loves a good party. As the founder of Little Miss Party, a party-planning and styling company, her day-to-day life is essentially one big celebration. (Talk about a dream job.) And in the weeks leading up to New Year's Eve when invitations are pouring in and the champagne toasts seem never-ending, that's when she's really in her element.

"New Year's is one of the ultimate excuses to party," she says. "So when it comes to a choosing a theme, it's easy, because the most important element is making it fun." This year, her New Year's Eve theme was up in the air — literally. Disco balls of all sizes shimmer and shine, as they gently rotate and catch the light, suspended from the ceiling.

Glitzy Desserts

What is a New Year's Eve party without the full-blown glitz and glamour? And this applies to the menu too. "Personally, I love to serve easy to heat hors d'ouerves like pigs in a blanket and mini brie spring roll," Kertzner says. "But most importantly, I love to serve desserts and champagne." These treats courtesy of Making That Cake were rolled in edible gold glitter.

Timeless Treats

The best part about desserts? You can customize them to go with your theme. These clock-inspired cookies by Biscotto Cookies kept guests excited in the countdown to midnight.

Dazzle 'Em

"When you walk in the door of our party, you know it's a New Year's Eve celebration," Kertzner says.

She incorporates metallic tones of silver and gold, iridescent hues, and midnight black into her decor. But it's the disco balls from Decorative Novelty that really steal the show. They suspend on monofilament from the ceiling, whirl over the table as a space-saving centerpiece, and make fun props for guests to snap Instagram-worthy photos. And her personal tip? Use them to anchor balloons in place.

Pop, Fizz, Clink!

For a go-to bottle of bubbly? Her answer is simple: Bottega Prosecco. "The price is right and their packaging always grabs my eye."

Make a Statement

And the most eye-catching element to the party? It's you! In Kertzner's words, "Shine bright! New Year's Eve is your opportunity to take a day for yourself because the next day is a whole new year. Book a blow-out, get a manicure, put on some red lipstick. Dress to party."
