Seashell and Sand Keepsake Ornaments

For anyone who finds their happy place at the beach, try this: a clear bauble filled with pristine white sand and teeny-tiny shells. They make perfect gifts or a personal keepsake on your own tree.

Introduction

These were used to decorate our Beachy Keepsakes Christmas Tree. Not only are these ornaments speedy to make, they're incredibly economical. You can churn out dozens using your own mix of shells, sand, and other nautical treasures.

materials

Clear ball ornaments

Seashells (Pictured: 1/4" Apple Blossom Seashells, $6 for 500, seashellsupply.com)

Sand (Pictured: Superfine White Sand, $9 for 4.4 lbs., jamaligarden.com)

Small funnel

steps

Carefully remove caps from the tops of all ornaments. Use funnel to pour approximately 2 tablespoons of sand and 1 tablespoon of shells into ornament.
Screw on the cap tightly, and hang to display.
