Stone Tile Trivet
They're just the right size (12 by 12 inches) for the large serving vessels used for holidays.

To make, trace a tile onto a piece of 1/8-inch cork (we used inexpensive place mats) with a pencil; cut out with a craft knife.
Paint the edge of the cork with bright craft paint.
Stick the cork to the tile's underside with spray adhesive, such as 3M Super 77; let dry.
