    This was a lot of work and a lot of dishes for the just OK result. I didn't change any of the ingredients,but I did change a little about the process. I didn't add the garlic with the bacon and onion until about the last minute. Ten minutes browning garlic and it will be completely burned. Before adding the garlic I drained most of the bacon fat. I was afraid the finished product would be too greasy. I followed the instructions the rest of the way. It is a very rich dish. In the process you get dirty: a skillet, a pot to cook the pasta, a saucepan, a colandar, and miscellaneous cooking utensils.
