Those popular mix-and-match patches? Here's another way to wear them: turn them into custom keychains. All you need are a few favorites, leather scraps, and some supplies to spot them just in time for back-to-school season.

Match your patches to complementary leather scraps. Apply a generous amount of glue to the back of your patch and adhere it to the right side of the leather, leaving excess fabric around the border of the patch including 2 inches at the top where you will attach a key ring and chain.
Trim excess leather using scissors. Leave a long strip from the aforementioned 2 inches of excess to attach the keychain ring.
Insert the key ring towards the opening and glue the end to the back of the leather.
Apply pressure to the glued area by using a paper clip. Let dry according to the glue instructions.
Attach to key ring and chain. Embellish on a backpack, tote bag, or other handbag of choice.
