This idea comes from our friend Ilyssa Minkus. Whether you use it for the farmer's market, beach, or school, everyone will know it's yours.
Attach the three letters of the monogram by taping them together. This will hold them in place when you stamp on the tote. (Tip: Look at the rubber sides of the stamps to make sure that the letters are lined up.)
Use the washi tape to make a straight line on the tote. This will be a guide for pressing the stamps on.
Press the stamps in the ink. (Tip: Do a test on paper first to make sure the stamps are lined up properly.)
Press the stamps with medium pressure on the bag. (Tip: If you press too hard, there will be excess ink around the edges, and the embossing powder will stick to it).
Cover the ink with embossing powder and pour off the excess. You can use a fine-tip paintbrush to help get excess powder off.
Turn on the heating tool and allow it to heat up according to the package instructions.
Hold the heating tool an inch above each letter for 10-15 seconds. You will see the powder turn shiny once it has been melted.
Let the letters cool for a minute before touching.
