Gold Embossed Stationery

Introduction

This idea comes from our friend Ilyssa Minkus. She teaches us how to make embossed stationery in a few easy steps.

materials

  • Notecards
  • Martha Stewart Crafts heat tool, $23, amazon.com
  • Embossing powder by Recollections in Gold Detail, $9, michaels.com
  • Paper plate
  • Assorted stamps

steps

  1. Press the stamp on the inkpad and then press the stamp on the notecard in the desired location.

  2. Cover the ink with embossing powder; pour off excess powder onto a paper plate. (Tip: You can then pour it back into the container.)

  3. Turn on the heating tool and allow it to heat up according to the package instructions. When ready, hold the heating tool an inch above the image until the embossing powder melts fully (10-15 seconds); let cool completely.
