  • Martha Stewart Crafts Sea Glass Paint in Beach Glass
  • Martha Stewart Crafts Milk Glass Paint in Lilac
  • Small canning jars
  • Metal awl
  • Medium-size chains
  • Jump rings

steps

  1. Using a brush, paint the inside of two jars with 1 to 2 coats of sea glass paint; let dry completely in between coats.
  2. Paint the inside of another two jars with 1 to 2 coats of milk glass paint; let dry completely in between coats.
  3. Remove the lid from one jar. Using an awl, punch two holes on the inner lip of the metal screw band on opposite sides.
  4. Secure either ends of the chain to both holes with jump rings. Connect screw band to jar (without metal lid).
  5. Repeat step 4 with remaining jars.
  6. Cure jars before using with votive candles: air dry for 21 days, or bake at 350˚ F for 30 minutes once paint has dried.
