Ingredients ¼ cup vegetable oil, such as safflower 3 large onions, sliced ¼ inch thick (about 4 cups) 1 tablespoon peeled and chopped fresh ginger Kosher salt Directions Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions begin to brown on the edges and soften, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add ginger to skillet.
