materials

  • Confetti
  • Cardstock
  • Craft knife
  • Scissors
  • Double-sided tape
  • Pencil

steps

  1. Cut out cardstock to 4 x 5.5 inches. This will be the top layer with the cutout letters.
  2. Cut contrasting cardstock to 8 x 5.5 inches, and fold in half. This will be the bottom layer.
  3. Print (or handwrite) letters. Cut out the letters and trace onto the 4 x 5.5 piece of cardstock. (Tip: You only need to cut the outline of each letter, and not the inside of the letters.)
  4. Using a craft knife, carefully cut out the traced letters.

  5. On separate cardstock, cut out confetti in desired shape. (Tip: Confetti can be purchased in different shapes.)
  6. Place confetti in cello bag and cut cello bag down to fit the size of the card. (Tip: The bottom edge of the bag should be just below the cut out text. This will ensure that the confetti is visible.)
