If you are using a cork sheet or square pieces of cork, begin by cutting your cork into circles, large enough to fit glasses comfortably. (Tip: You can find cork coasters that are already in a circle shape at your local craft or home stores!)
Using your cork circle as your guide, trace circles onto your scrapbook paper.
Cut the circles out of your scrapbook paper and make sure that they fit onto your cork pieces well. If not, cut any excess cork or paper, using scissors, to ensure that the two pieces match up and it’s a good fit.
Using your foam brush, begin adding a generous amount of mod podge onto the top of your cork circle. Once covered, add your scrapbook paper circle into the top of your cork. Smooth the scrapbook paper using your fingers, to make sure there are no creases or air bubbles.
Add another layer of mod podge over the top of the scrapbook paper layer that you just smoothed onto your cork bottom; allow to dry completely.
Once the mod podge is dry, paint the side edges of the cork using a small paintbrush and black craft paint; allow the paint to dry completely.
In a well-ventilated area, spray the coasters with a coat of clear sealant and allow to dry completely before use.
